Revolutionary Leaders
They forget that their fundamental objective is to fight alongside the people for the recovery of the people's stolen humanity, not to "win the people over" to their side. Such a phrase does not belong in the vocabulary of revolutionary leaders, but in that of the oppressor. The revolutionary's role is to liberate and be liberated, with the people-not to win them over.

Over the past couple of weeks which I will call my (Virgin Teaching Weeks) I have tried to win my students over with prizes and other extrinsic motivational items. What I have realized is that my job is not to win them over it is to help them win their humanity back. I have also learned that I need to learn how to fight alongside of their parents, if I can help liberate their parents we can start to chip away at a wall that keeps them from living a life of liberation.

Kids are pretty smart. They accept the bribery of prizes, but I think they accept understanding even more.

The best teachers I ever had were the ones who awakened in me a desire to learn and experience that I wasn´t even aware I had. You will do the same for so many kids!!!! Go Mark!
